Basically, I'm a student, and was just thinking how much junk I have lying about the house.

Basically, what kinda stuff is pretty good to sell on Ebay at the moment? Got Lots of old books, games etc...

Basically, anybody ever had a clear out, and what kinda stuff is worth actually selling?

i used to supplement my income at uni by selling old cds and dvds i didnt use.

May only get a few quid for each but i used to put postage about £1.50 higher than itd cost.

Also sold some clothes and crockery i bought at work in the sale and with staff discount.

Might you not want to sell some of that at a car-boot sale instead? Means you don't have to worry about making an ebay sale for each individual book/CD/DVD etc and you wont have to wrap & send them.

You may get slightly less for each item, but one morning's work instead of all that faff with ebay is probably worth it.

I once went into virgin megastore, saw a rugby league game on pc for 99p bought it played it a bit and put it on ebay with the word rare in the title and it sold for £18.

Maybe try do something like that

Ebay pulse (on their website) tells you what items are selling like hotcakes at any given time. I made a mint out of selling Italian football books to English speaking folk when I lived out there.
