Tony's relationship with Jack was brilliant because it was built up over seasons. Started frosty then because most trusted colleagues. Just wouldn't make sense if he just flips for little reason. There has to be something deeper behind it. I'm going for a cover, like others have said.

Will be interested to see how they explain Tony still being alive considering he died in Jack's arms.

I'm suprised people think Tony's reasoning is going to be contrived/poor?
You saw what he was like after Michelle's death, out to get Henderson and he could not be reasoned with. Why couldn't that feasibly be taken a step further?

| people going for:
not lethal enough dose, ie it put him in a coma which he woke up from (and was in a body bag...) recruited by Henderson and certain other patroits etc. death was faked (Burke guy who gave Tony the dose for Henderson hadn't put enough in it as he was in on it), was collected and brainwashed but also with his thoughts of the Government letting him and Michelle down etc
going to be interesting to see what the excuse is as people are going to want answers and good ones at that.
I agree with the idea of a slow start building to an action packed 2nd half, a bit like season 3 which still has one of the best 2nd halves of TV made in my opinion  even if the first was a bit dodgy

Just to throw into the mix, there is a official 24 book just been released and I flicked straight to Tony's page and it could not have been more definitive in it's description that Tony died in Jack's arms.
And once again, this was from an official 24 book. Gonna be some storyline to explain this.
Flashback episodes ftw

| I bought that £6 in Asda ftw.
Anyway - all I can think of is that the book was sorted and printed before they came up with the idea. Or at least ready to be printed and too late to make changes.

Agreed, season 6 was pretty poor in my opinion compared too all others in the shows history. Predictable and a little tedius in my opinion.
Not to sure what to make of this trailer, looks good but I can't imagine how they're going to even begin to explain how Tony is actually alive.

ok so i didn't know much about this writers strike but ergh, members of one of the 24 forums saying that it may not be til September that Season 7 gets aired- 8 episodes have already been filmed, but yeh, big gap now
only silver lining is that hopefully this can get them to think out a decent, Season 1 stylee plot rather than be rushed into doing something.
