Hmmm. Interesting. Tony as the villain, well we will see how that pans out. He has the potential to be the greatest villain of them all, given how well he is known by Jack and the audience, but it could be a cop out by the producers.

I don't want to get too worked up because the trailer for last series looked excellent, and then turned out to be the worst of the lot. Hopefully this will be better. Though part of me thinks that the FBI is being used as a replacement for CTU. And the threat of bringing down all the communications of the USA, hints of Die Hard 4 anyone?

when dialogue from a trailer is cringe worthy (as "torture him if you have to" most certainly is in the context) then it's a bit of a worry. and bad guy almeida could quite easily turn out to be a dramatic stunt that goes very, very bad.

no more ctu and some of the other changes do look far more positive though.

I'm surprised so many people didn't like Series 6. I thought it was certainly not the worst one yet, better than 3 and probably 4.

As for this one, well Almeida being the baddy could be great or it could be really rubbish. Nice to see they've changed the setting anyway.

Yes it was.

I can't fathom how they're going to write it believable. The only thing that springs to mind is that Henderson "recruited" Tony and then helped him fake his death in CTU medical, but there would still have needed to be another person to sneak his body out.

I bet the cougar did it.

That would leave too many plotholes, but then again they don’t seem bothered about those atm.

I’m pleased he’s back as his death was entirely pointless, but it will probably be the end of the series for me if they feck it up.
