Agreed. The infrastructure was supposed to be sound in 2004, which would explain away why it took me 27 hours to get from Chongqing to Beijing, as opposed to the 2 and a half it should have done had they not cancelled flights. Teams turned up to matches literally minutes before kick-off due to poor transportation and traffic; then there's pollution which is only getting worse. As much as I would love to see it, I really doubt their ability to organise it effectively. And as Joe said, it's in the execution and organisation. Which is where I think England could really pull off a winner. </BLOCKQUOTE>

China would be pretty decent at the organisation of execution though tbf.

I'll reserve judgement until the Olympics tbh.

So predictable. The only real reason to implement rotation in the first place was to have a WC in Africa.

The good thing about the new system is that we won't have WCs in Europe every 8 years. So, if England host it in 2018, Europe won't be allowed to host it in 2022 and 2026.

I'd actually rather the system were that you could only not bid if your confederation had it the previous time as was rumoured.

Still not enough countries across variations confederations capable of hosting the competition to prevent regular repeating if host countries as a result.

That's fantastic. The WC can though go to countries who are ill-equipped to host it.

There are at least 4 countries in Asia/Oceania that can host it (Australia, Japan, South Korea and China) plus Brazil and Argentina in South America, Mexico and USA in North America and South Africa and maybe the likes of Egypt and Morocco in Africa. I think these are more than enough countries.

France, Italy, Germany and Mexico have hosted it more than one time, so repetition wouldn't be anything new.

We are not ready now, but we have 7 years to get ready.

And a WC doesn't need to be like the one in Germany, full of expensive stadiums and all that. The stadium just need to be within what FIFA expects.

Transportation and the likes can be improved in 7 years.
