Default Anyone know how to get my wireless laptop to actually go wireless?
IT says I have a Ralink Wireless LAN card, and there is a little icon in the taskbar and when I hover over it, it says 'Not exist' asif the the thing isn't there. Have I not installed it or something? I can't find anything in the box that I bought the Laptop in that says anything about this wireless card, so I presumed it would work as soon as I turned it on. Help would be appreciated, as i'm sitting here in the dining room, next to the router to get on the internet

my laptop actually has a button on the keyboard that turns wireless on and off, has a little satellite symbol, maybe yours has something similar?

sometimes there is a little button on the laptop that if you flick it actiates the wireless laptop.

Happened to my GF's mate.

Yeah, i have a wee switch thing on the front of my laptop to turn wireless on or off.

Didn't use that button The little icon has not gone from 'Not Exist' to 'Disconnected'?

right click on it, and it should say: scan for available networks or open network connections, click that
