So if id bet say £5 on Man U winning 4-0 last night and Gary Neville to score the first goal id have still won my bet because Neville wasnt playing?

well i guess so but why would you anyway because you might aswell just put it on 4-0 because it was obvious neville wasn't going to play and it reverts to the odds for 4-0 so it wouldn't make a difference but yeh i guess so.

You wouldn't have been able to bet on Neville, but, yeah... You'd have a non-runner on the first goalscorer, so you'd just have £5 on 4-0.

No, the only reason you'd win with Neville first and 4-0 is because with all first goalscorer bets, if they aren't on the pitch when the goal is scored that part of the bet becomes void.

Not too much cause it's only Ndumbu-Nsungu which would go on the back and there's longer names than that e.g. Bridge-wilkinson who played for us last season but he's only on loan so i wouldn't get his name so i do not know how much it would cost. </BLOCKQUOTE>

No, because you got the score wrong.

It's the same as when you bet on a horse but it doesn't run you get your stake back. The race in this instance is for first goalscorer, if Neville wasn't on the pitch before the first goal was scored then he was a non-runner, because the race was over before he could compete... ok?
