No wonder Chivu was so anxious to come to Inter.
They seriously can't expel all the Romany who live in Rome can they? Surely there's a few international and Italian laws that they are breaking.

There are special rules on Romanians and Bulgarians for being able to live in other EU countries. It is a lot more stringent. I can't remember them off the top of my head, but if they are not met, they can be repatriated. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Not sure if its the same in all EU countries but yes there are restrictions on the so called A2 countries (Romania and Bulgaria) in the UK.
Basically after the first lot of accession (sp) states (Poland etc) and the mass migration there were fears that vasts numbers of A2's would come over.
As they are now in the EU then travel and settlement cant be restricted. What has been restricted is working. A2s are required to apply for work permits which are issued base don the persons trade/skills. The idea being if they cant work they wont live here. It might have worked to some extent but those who were desperate to come here anyway have done and obviously work illegally. The main problem apart from dodgy employers is employers who think they can work freely as they are now in the EU and happily give them work.
