haha love the theory that throwing a couple of million at the team guarantees something other than middle table championship. Sheffield United spent £4million on James Beattie, hardly tearing the league up are they?

cotterill has had time to build a side now, and the signings he's made haven't really set the world alight. Kilby/Flood could have given SC £2million in the summer, but if he only manages to sign four Joey G's where does that leave us? Blakey still has it but Akinbiyi is way past his best. No need to bring him back.

This next appointment is crucial. Whoever it is knows he'll get time and hopefully Brendan Flood could find him something to make a couple of signings.

gino, exactly my thinking. obviously looking at morto's opinion some fans disagree but the fact is he has run out of time to how us anything resembling a "good" championship side. its just common sense, he has had enough time to build a side made up entirely of his own players. the fact that we are now not much better off in terms of performances than when he took over speaks volumes.

one thing that sums up cotterill is the fact that he seems to all his eggs in one djemba-djemba shaped basket. the minute he few off to qatar for the money we had no plan b and consequently no midfield.

thanks steve, but good riddence
