How many times have our youngsters been involved in something like this eh? It's pretty pointless news. Not remember Cayne Hanley? Now playing for FC United.

Kilby is a clown. He expects us to be up there all the time, yet we sell our best players, ala Ade. If we didn't sell him then, we could have been in the Playoffs that season. Now we have some sort of investor, we're not selling, ala Lafferty.

Provided funds whenever needed? Yeh and how many players have we sold without buying replacements? Or buying players that still left us witha profit? All the time.

Burnley really having been getting results like Get On Teletext says, I'd have expected them to win at home to Hull but they lost. It is probably right hes gone and they should get Newell to replace him.

I know they went on a bad run last season, but considering the money being thrown at players from teams trying to get up to the prem, is 15th really that bad?

I wonder if he will end up at Leicester City?

My initial reaction was he's left of his own accord because Milan wanted him tbh. Not so sure now as maybe Burnley have just got rid.

Plus we have a game in hand which could take us upto 10th.

I think he's going to Leicester.

As I said in the other thread about this, I wish he'd come back to Cheltenham, but that's just not going to happen

Wouldn't be at all surprised if he ended up at Leicester. With Milan's previous working relationship with Redknapp and the fact Redknapp and Cotterill are very good friends, there's a fairly strong possibility it could happen.

cayne hanley was completely different. he was 17 years old, made the bench once and someone decided it would be funny to post in a story saying united wanted him to a crappy rumours website. rumour escalates, hanley becomes a world beater and all the stupid little people from our town start banding around figures like £5million.

when has kilby ever said he expects us to be vying for promotion? certainly not up until this season when flood ha come in and given us funds to finance a premiership push. ternent managed two 7th place finishes with a squad not a patch on the current one. cotterill has managed nothing close.

yes we sold akinbiyi, but for £1.5million! jesus, would anyone turn that amount of money down for someone who, lets face it, has limited footballing ability and is on the decline.

players we sold without replacements. erm. chaplow? replaced with o'connor. blake? replaced with akinbiyi. akinbiyi? replaced with gray. thomas? replaced with carlisle. cant think of one player that fits into the "not replaced" category to be honest. the fact that the players we replaced them with may not be as good as the original players is not kilbys fault, its cotterill's. simple fact is, he cannot pick a player from lower league.

so yeah, a bit of a rant but the picture morto paints that the board is at fault is shared by perhaps 15% of our clubs supporters. and anyone who has been to burnley knows that probably 15% of our population is retarded anyway.

as for replacements, i have no idea.

I'll write the contract myself so long as it isn't Peter Reid.

What exactly does Kilby want Burnley to go? We're always going to be a ****ing mediocre championship side unless we invest in our team, which we don't. They only time we actually buy players is when we sell them.

We sold Ade at a crucial time. I can bet that Kilby went over Cotterill's head and accepted the bid. We didn't have adequate cover or a goalscorer bar him at the time. Resulting in us slumping down the league.

Your facts on replacements sums it up. O'Connor isn't as good as Chaplow, nor did he cost anywhere near. Same with Ade and from what i've seen Carlisle. Only good one is Gray. It's not Kilby's fault? It's not Kilby's fault that he doesn't give him the funds he needs to get quality players?

Wtf are you going on about? 15% of the clubs supporters? You might know 1% of all Burnley fans, not even that, so don't come along with your percentages and calling me retarded, okay?
