Fab idea, definitely the way forward. Is going to be cheaper than 'regular' flying pretty soon, so give it a few more decades and it'll be standard IMO.

Will never be more than just a novelty. We'll have cleaner jet fuel before these things become popular. Noone wants to take 24-36 hours to fly between the US and the UK, let alone anywhere else in the world.

Nothing stopping them at all. If you want to fly Malaga -London for a tenner, fine.

Personally I think as most people only fly twice a year they'd pay 100 quid to do it in some luxury.
