Interestingly, and just by the by, my employer has a policy of recognizing any and all religions, including Wiccans and so on. I ran the Flying Spaghetti Monster question by my HR earlier, and she said that probably wouldn't get by them, but that if I had just invented my own comparatively rational religion and said that certain holidays had to be observed, I'd probably get away with it.

And here I am. Help me create a religion, OTF. I need a general philosophy and some holidays. Let's see how committed my employer is to this premise.
Your religion should be based on a lunar calendar, to make sure that the holidays aren't on the weekend in the next few years. And it should be polytheistic, because developing a polytheistic mythology will be much more interesting than developing a monotheistic one. There should be, at minimum, gods for each of the Platonic solids.
1) a creation myth
2) a theodicy to explain the existence of ungoodness in the world
3) an interesting end of days prophecy
4) a misogynistic myth blaming women for something bad
