So, what will 2007 bring for SI?
Well, for a start, the announcement about a new game will come soon - just waiting for a couple of contracts around it to be signed
| News item on GPRM (the new name for F1CM): Quote:
Best wishs for a happy new year to all our forum members and readers. Festives Greetings.
F1CM is in the middle of a GUI make-over. I am sure it does not surprise
many of you that our design is now a little dated due to the time taken thus far to get the game released. Many of you have been waiting for a very long time. Some of you have been very patient and others understandably less so.
The game is now nearing completion and we do hope to make announcements in first quarter of 2007 of publishing deals and game launch details.
With regards to the F1CM F1 royalty license many of you will know there is currently only one company that owns video game licenses for Formula One and our discussions with that publisher did not come to fruition. They and we are bound under legal obligations to not discuss what happened, however, there is no ill feeling and they have wished us all the best of fortune as we have to them.
It is not the team's intention to bleat out launch dates at this stage but we can confirm that we are in the middle of finalising a deal with a serious publisher. F1CM will need to be renamed and will need to carry unlicensed royalty free definitions for a Grand Prix Racing Management game that will focus on a world series of open wheel racing. This will be supported by a global series of open wheel racing series, drivers, teams, staff, sponsors etc and the game will be just as good as we always intended. In fact it will be better because F1 licensed games carry restrictions on graphics, feeder series, driver names etc that would have made the game almost unrecognisable from our original intentions.
We are totally confident that this game will realise all our expectations and hopefully many of yours too. For those of you willing to invest the time on data files and graphics files to create replacement data sets for F1 IRL Cart GP2 etc you should find your modding will be greatly popular.
We will be delivering full news on our plans in January 2007.
For now all the team at AzTech Games and F1CM wish you all a prosperous and Happy 2007.
Regards,
Ratko Simovic
| I think (hope) there may be a connection between the two. |

| Definately, though I rarely get my hopes up. I just wait patiently, but for sure it would be great.
I love football, I love SI and I love F1, what more do you want? |

| GPRM does plan to include other series, from which you can sign drivers. However, you can only manage a team that's competing in F1.
