When i was younger we had a massive bag that was made out of very strong plastic that all our shopping went into. Never see them now tho, isntead everyone has about 7-8 of those little crap ones

There's a few supermarkets in France (Leclerc comes to mind) that don't give you bags anymore, you either have to bring your own or buy some and they're not plastic

| Yeah I've seen that there. Think some in the UK encourage that, and over here in the States Wegmans (the best grocery store) also has bags that you can buy. They're good because 3/4 can hold the equivalent of around 10-15 plastic bags.

A bunch of supermarkets in the states also offer you the choice between plastic or paper bags (like Wholefoods). Not sure if paper is much better but at least it's an alternative
