Leeds United vs Hereford - Sky Sports - KO 19:45 Friday
Quote:
Leeds' trip to famed giant-killers Hereford was the highlight of Saturday's draw for the FA Cup First Round. The Yorkshire club have made a stunning start to the season to move into the Coca-Cola League One play-off places, despite a 15-point pre-season penalty, but now face a visit to Edgar Street to meet the League Two promotion hopefuls, who dispatched mighty Newcastle in 1972.
Hosted by The FA's Director Of Football Development, Sir Trevor Brooking, the draw was made by former England international Paul Parker and former Chelsea player John Hollins and it threw up a number of other interesting ties as the clubs from both League One and League Two entered the competition along with those sides who have progressed through the qualifying rounds.
Conference leaders Torquay host Yeovil in a south-west derby, struggling Millwall face a tricky trip to Altrincham and Nottingham Forest travel to Lincoln. Harrogate Railway's reward for a shock derby victory over Town is to host Conference strugglers Droylsden. Dagenham & Redbridge, Bournemouth, Rotherham, Hartlepool, Macclesfield and Swansea all face trips to non-league opposition.
Isthmian League Premier Division side Billericay Town will be looking to cause a first round shock after being drawn at home to Swansea City. The Essex side are 107 places below League One side Swansea.
Elsewhere, Horsham take on Maidenhead United while Stafford Rangers or Cambridge United have a home tie against either Crawley Town or Aldershot Town.
My preferred team:
Martin
Richardson
Clapham
Huntington
RUI
Carole
Da Costa
Prutton
Hughes
Beckford
Kandol
Hopefully see Rothery and Howson on the bench, with the possibility of one or the other starting, but I can't see it really.
Should win this, but with Hereford's "giant"-killing record, this could be tough.

You deserve a kick up the arse for an incorrect thread title. It should read Hereford United v Leeds United... as it's Hereford United who are playing at home.
I'll let you off this time though.
Come on you SAS people.

A chance for the whole country to laugh at how far Leeds have fallen. Hate both clubs, as as Hereford are Welsh and have some history with Cheltenham, I'll be rooting for Leeds.

I think Lucas deserves to start after his heroics at Darlington. Would be surprised to see Carole and Da Costa in the same lineup - think we'll more likely see Weston instead.
Absolute disaster of a title though, 2/10 :thdn:
