haha most of that survey is based purely on Manchester from what I can tell. There's nowhere in Trafford half as bad as Moss Side, Cheetham Hill, and many other parts of Manchester. Altrincham probably pulls the whole borough up above Manchester by a long way, and iirc Trafford (and possibly Bolton), has the best education out of the 10 boroughs.

Salford's ****, but the regeneration over the past 10 years probably means the gap between it and Manchester has reduced quite a bit, assuming there is still a gap at all.

actually not that bad these days (i say 'these days', i've only been here 6 years tbf but the improvement's been fairly dramatic). few dodgy areas but no worse than places like Gorton, Wythenshawe etc. the area around Eastlands is a dive as well.

the thing is Gorton, Ancoats, Ardwick, Wythenshawe aren't even that bad compared to other places in Manchester, yet they're all worse than anywhere in Trafford, and no better than the worst bits of Salford.
