Then you just have to pay.
I saw a guy jump over it in Philadelphia a couple of years ago and jump on the train. Some security guy saw it on camera and stopped the train (keeping the doors closed) until the cops came over and picked up the guy | because the stations are mainly outdoor platforms, just like say a bus stop. It's very open to abuse, but more than enough people happily pay their fares for it to survive. You can go months without getting your ticket checked, or you can get it checked 3 times in a run. Usually when they check out of say 25 people on the tram there's usually 1 or 2 without tickets, but never more than 3/4, so I'd say well over 90% pay.

Still waiting for them to start work on the Metrolink through Clayton, Droylsden and Ashton, everythings been knocked down and made room for it for years now but work still hasn't started, bloody government
Would be so much easier to get home from City matches aswell, they really don't care about people traveling back into Droylsden, their only concern is getting people back into Town

thing is the metrolink lines in town can only take so many metrolinks though surely, so if they have them coming from other parts of Manchester too then either they are less frequent, or they build new tracks.

New tracks I think, starting from Piccadilly Station going through Great Ancoats up to SportsCity and then through Clayton, Droylsden and up to Ashton

Not sure if it would be quicker getting home from watching United if they built the system to Ashton. Takes about 15 minutes on the bus from Ashton to my house. Full of scrotes though, hate the place.
