i really hope this turns into a massive fight on saturday, and some unbelievable dodgy referring because the best games this season so far have followed that pattern

I honestly wouldn't like to call this one. I wouldn't risk Edwards as a starter - he's too important to us long term for balance and an outlet on the right to risk him again and give him a game after 60 mins of the reserve game where him and Cole were apparently taking it easy the other night (and might I add - the mighty opposition was only Wolviston Town on the end of a 8-0 thrashing).

Good to see ITV rope in Jeff Winter for his opinions on the game.
Apparently form goes out of the window and he's gone for a draw.

Anyone going with Toon Travel to the match tomorrow read below
Travel - Toon Travel - A message from Keith:
There are now no coaches for the mackem game due to the coach operator cancelling after police pressure insisting we join the convoy at 10.30am.
As a responsible 51 year old adult I would like to go for a pint and then go and support my team, instead of being subjected to modern day big brother bullying tactics.
Please turn up as arranged where a fleet of vans will take us to the game.
going in vans ffs |

Today's Chronicle reporting that Mike Ashley is going to sit in with the Newcastle fans tomorrow, behind the goal. He wants to wear his colours and has heeded police advice by not going in the Director's box with his shirt on. Top bloke.
Also seems as if Fat Sam has yet to decide whether to restore Viduka to the side. I for one hope he starts. Capaca is also a doubt, but I'm not sure he'd have been in the side anyway.

For me, Viduka could easily be the difference between a result or not.

SQUADS:
NUFC: Harper, Forster, Beye, Enrique, Rozehnal, Taylor, Cacapa, Faye, Milner, Geremi, Emre, N'Zogbia, Barton, Smith, Pattison, Owen, Viduka, Martins, Ameobi.
SAFC: Gordon, Ward, McShane, Harte, Nosworthy, Higginbotham, Collins, Edwards, Etuhu, Miller, Leadbitter, Wallace, Kavanagh, O'Donovan, Jones, Chopra, Connolly, Murphy, Stokes.
Optimistic noises being made on the Viduka front.
Andy Cole seemingly available for bench duty too.
