I think if we do lose, it'll increase the pressure on him to get it right. We've got a tough few games coming up afterwards - Liverpool, Blackburn and Arsenal. Going into them on the back of a derby loss won't be great.
Possibly part of the problem is that Fat Sam is perhaps the last link left to the old regime. The problems that they caused are still being felt, which perhaps makes the manager a target for frustration.
The club seems to have been stuck in a transitional stage since the sacking of SBR which is a long time. Patience is needed of course, but perhaps some are concerned that Fat Sam isn't up to the job.
