Sunderland can be happy with that. They deserved to win, played all the football and had all the bad luck. Point still a good point in their situation.

Happy enough with the point today. Sunderland the better side and can feel disappointed that they didn't win the game. We didn't play well at all - our passing was disjointed and we again lacked width. Barton still unfit for me and also something of a liability with the kick out at Etuhu. However, we showed a bit of character to pull level, so that's something.
We are clearly still work in progress and Fat Sam needs to get a settled side, instead of tinkering with it every week.

Atmosphere was pretty poor today - I was certainly expecting a lot more, having seen the Geordies hanging out of the windows of a metro train like ****ing animals on the way to the ground.
Still, Sunderland deserved to win but a draw is still fair seeing as the Mackems were god awful in the final third.
Fair play to Ashley though.
