Sunderland can be happy with that. They deserved to win, played all the football and had all the bad luck. Point still a good point in their situation.

Newcastle just gash. That rubbish 'hoooof' chant basically invented for them.

Martins and Stokes with the dives at the end.

Happy enough with the point today. Sunderland the better side and can feel disappointed that they didn't win the game. We didn't play well at all - our passing was disjointed and we again lacked width. Barton still unfit for me and also something of a liability with the kick out at Etuhu. However, we showed a bit of character to pull level, so that's something.

We are clearly still work in progress and Fat Sam needs to get a settled side, instead of tinkering with it every week.

Atmosphere was pretty poor today - I was certainly expecting a lot more, having seen the Geordies hanging out of the windows of a metro train like ****ing animals on the way to the ground.

Still, Sunderland deserved to win but a draw is still fair seeing as the Mackems were god awful in the final third.

Fair play to Ashley though.

Yup - the big man seemed to enjoy himself. I wonder if he'll do that more regularly for away games ?

Thought we were utterly pants today, Sunderland deserved the win by a long way (And it takes a lot for me to type that out!).

We never looked like scoring, even when we scored. We had no width, no flair, no attacking impetus at all.

I disagree - the mackems looked well up for it an with better finishing, should have won.

Are your lads going to do their usual roll over and die act at St Andrews tomorrow ?
