They should get Simon Furman in to write along with Kevin Smith. That would be rather good, and not clownshoes.

Yeah, the stuff about having to fight a Polar Bear or whatever it was is funny.
Producers such idiots.

I can just imagine him in a room with the guys from the Orange adverts
Isn't Simon Furman currently working on the god awful looking new Transformers cartoon?

No idea. His G1 comics had some terrific plotlines though.

Furman would write a superb story for the film, but i think would need some help with actual dialog for a movie. The stuff he does is great for comics but would need modifying for a film.
If you are into comics and Tramsformers get yourself the new IDW Transformers series, its my favorite take on G1 so far. Furman is pretty much writing the whole series, but there are individual stories thrown in as well, that all tie in to Furman's continuity.

That's true, I liked the Furman-isms on his wiki entry. Remember a few of those. Still, that's where Smith would come in...

watched the HD-DVD of this yesterday. Wasn't too impressed really the comedy seemed forced and the transformers looked too much like robots and too complecated, why couldn't they be simlistic looking like

as that would be easier to make and look cooler. Most predictable love story ever althrough she looked really good near the beginning when she was attempting to fix his car.
