Mikey, you must remember the sword surely? It was that bit.
Reading that big post above reminded me of Jazz, always the black ones that cop it first |

I rather enjoyed this, although I have little to no history with Transformers (I played with some of them as a young 'un but was generally more interested in James Bond). I laughed more than a couple of times which is always a fine way to sell a film to me, the big robo-battles were cool even if the effects were rather messy and it was difficult to tell who was who, what was what and who was what was where. All those extra characters also unbalanced the film, the fights in the middle east against scorpion-bot (sorry, I'm not too hot on the names) was top but the whole army subplot felt completely superfluous. Shia 'Frank' LeBoeuf was pretty good, a decent omen for Indiana Jones, Megan Fox didn't bring a lot except considerable poutage (which is enough, though she's not really my type). I even laughed at Bernie Mac, which is a first. Overall, a very decent way of wasting two hours, though it's unlikely to be remembered in six months' time.

A lot of people are saying that one of the main problem with the effects being blurry, hard to make out at times etc is due to the projectors. They only run at 24fps which is apparently far too low for the fight scenes in this and other recent films. When the movie comes out on DVD and HDDVD/Blueray it will look far better.
Mark Ryan (voice of Bumblebee and also Nasir from Robin of Sherwood :cool has stated in an interview that he is doing some more voice work for the DVD and for a Transformers 2 Prequel that will probably be on the DVD

I am however willing to accept that element to an extent though because 1 - other than Megs and Screamer they don't have any G1 connection in truth and so without any back-story (i.e. X amount of cartoons to establish them) they don't really need to be anything other than killing machines. They did better with the Autobots because, obviously bar Jazz, they need them to stick around for a while to deal with what will almost inevitably be the return of Megs and Screamer plus a few choice others.
| I'd agree with that to a point, but he then killed off Bonecrusher although as most of us have said it was the best moment of the film. If Devastator was to be used in the next film he could easily just go with 5 Constructicons, but you just like to see things done right

There was a theory going around that it was Starscream that fired at Megatron at the end, which would have been fb, but as you can see from that picture it clearly wasn't
