Definitely worth a watch. It's not100% faithful to the old cartoons and comics when we were kids but it is good fun.

It's well worth a watch really. Better than a lot of summer blockbusters that get released.
I think the main issue that most people (well at least me) have, is that we/I see it as an opportunity missed. Could have been more than "OK" or "quite good". But, conversely, it could have been awful, and it isn't.
When you get a film that confuses character names between filming, and adding the subtitles though, it really is a mark of carelessness. Stuff like that is just plain silly and it's why I won't just sit back and accept the film was good. It's very sloppy in places. And no, that's not being overly critical, it's just stating the bleedin' obvious.

Possibly. But either way it wouldn't have been hard to spot the error, if a bunch of other people have. Especially as they then came out with different stories to explain it. Was just a mess and they didn't know how to explain it away.
Parts of it are just sloppy. And I don't really expect/accept that from films tbh, and I don't accept average stuff when there could be much more to it.
As I said, it's not terrible or anything, I'm not having a go at it just for the sake of having a go. Was it as good as it could have been though? No, quite clearly not.

They need to sort out the Brawl/Devastator mistake out for the DVD because Devastator is the one we all want to see in the next movie, though they have another problem in that Bonecrusher now has no head

They will probably explain it with some throwaway sentence tbh. Will be interesting to see how they approach the second film, assuming there is one.

| hehehe, re-watching the cartoons, I have seen so many confusions, especially between the 3 identical (besides the colours) Decepticon jets - often they have the same colours or the wrong colours in various scenes.
I also saw Perceptor (the microscope dude) with a Decepticon logo, Autobot logo switching from Prime's one shoulder to the other, Megatron suddenly not having his cannon on his arm and then having it again on the next footage, etc., etc. |
