I didn't pay any attention to the build up, I just wanted to go see it cold. Quite glad i didn't get any build up really cos it might have been even more of a disappointment.

I don't remember the tank as in I don't remember his name from the comics. Rang no bells when it came up. Am I going mad?

The Tank was called Brawl iirc, but called Devestator in the movie. Devestator may have been a tank in G2 or the later series, but i might be making that up.

Brawl was part of the Combaticons that made up Bruticus, the Tank was supposed to be called Brawl in the film but we all saw he's called Devastator :/

I think Bumblebee got repaired by the Allspark when he transformed it. It also gave frenzy a new body earlier.

I also hope that the Allspark is the primer for mass shifting in the second film. It was touted as being unrealistic by bay and co all through the making of the film, but I hope they realised you can't do most Transformers without it.

People are now also speculating that Starscream was the F22 that fired missiles at Megatron near the end battle before blasting off into space. If so that would be pretty cool and Starscream like.

Watched it yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great bits of humour, action and a tidy bird, what more can you ask for on a Sunday afternoon?

Yep there were some plot holes, but not many films are perfect. Roll on the sequel featuring Galvatron, Mirage and the Dinobots!

In the film, Devastator appears as a separate character that transforms into a heavily-modified M1 Abrams tank. This character was listed as being renamed Brawl; however, in the final movie, the Decepticon clearly identifies himself as Devastator, although the character is credited as Brawl in the end credits and merchandise. According to writer Roberto Orci and Hasbro's Transformers team, this is an error and that he is supposed to be named Brawl. However when queried, director Michael Bay has stated that he has always preferred Devastator, and that it is not a mistake. To date this controversy has not been resolved

So basically it sounds like a feck up :/
