New toys looking good- true to the old comics. Know the film will make me livid, despite the trailers looking aesthetically impressive.

I think the way Takara do the masterpiece line is they do an original mold, then a repaint due to the cost involved. I know a lot of people don't like repaints but I don't mind them if they are done for the three seekers. They are important and much loved characters.
As for the next new mold I agree that Hot Rod would be awesome. I would also love a Masterpiece Grimlock. So long as they keep to the G1 design esp in dino mode.

Yup, Grimlock would be good.
I just have to be a bit more selective about Masterpiece figures I buy now. The three I wanted, Prime, Megatron and Starscream, I now have. They look wonderful displayed side by side. Hot Rod would bring balance to the force. |

I havn't bought any TFs for a while now, but i have a bit of spare cash atm so I have been scouring ebay for G1 we are still missing.
If you like Hot Rod you might want to check out Kiss Play Rodimus, he is awesome. You unfortunalty have to put up with the creepy japanese box art and anime figure that comes with him Kiss Play Rodimus 1 Kiss Play Rodimus 2
There are rumours that Hasbro are releasing their own Alternatorrs Hot Rod, but i think the photo that was circulated was proven to be Photoshopped. Alternators Hot Rod |

There was a new TV spot aired last night during Family Guy. You can see it here: New Transformers TV Spot
Couple of new scenes of blackout transforming & various other military shots. I've not heard the audio yet as I am in work at the moment.
Also spotted another G1 Alt form in the movie though its an obvious one |

Got home today to find this guy waiting for me: Classics Jetfire
He is awesome, looks like a badass with all his armour on and like the Jetfire we all know without.
Cartman doesn't like him though, he says he is plastic and rubbish. Whilst I agree most of the new Transformers toys are a bit pants, I think this guy really impressive. Its G1 in a modern toy much like Binaltech/Alternators.
