Default My first match thread: Birmingham City FC vs Aston Villa, 11th Nov.
So it's my first match thread, don't give me too much stick!!
Birmingham City take on the mediocre Aston Villa FC, at St Andrews, the better of the two derbys in the coming weekend in the EPL.

Birmingham on a ok home form, Villa on a ok(ish) away form, but we all know that form don't really count huh.

Ridgewell will probably captain us in his first match against his home club, we MIGHT see forsell on the bench, who scored a hattrick against Aston Villa reserves a few days ago.

Interesting stat, in each of the last 4 seasons (when in the same division, we have seen the same result in home and away games (e.g. if Birmingham won the first game, they also won the second game, if there was draw, draw again in the second game etc). 2 seasons ago was a forgettable one, losing both games 0:1 home and 1:3 away.

Hope we thrash them, will do us a lot of good for our confidence, I can even go as far as to say that if we win this game, we will probably stay up. If we lose, we will probably stay up still. Meh.

Do you class it as a derby game? I never really have since we have Villa, Wolves and Blues that are all very close to us. But Coventry don't really have anyone that close, in comparison.
