not sure what your (i.e. Blues fans in general) problem is with Bruce - he's done a terrific job. Took a team who were a decent Championship side into a respectable Premiership team.
Granted you went down, but you came back up first time of asking (which many dont) and you're not exactly struggling.
He may be a bit negative at times, but you werent exactly playing like 1970 Brazil when you were last in the Premiership.

I've never made any secret that I've never rated him as manager.
As you point out, too negative.

| i really don't have a problem with him, i don't want him out, i think its immense what he's done for us to be honest, if we still had trevor francis on board we'd still be squabbling around the championship, he has some flaws, he's not a tactician, he can't really handle prima donna's or players that need that extra bit of care etc
he is good at geeing up the team i think though, and i think he's still learning, i can't see us getting anyone better to be honest, and every manager has their -ve points, even some of the big teams, only way i would sack him is if we go on a major downturn, ie into the champ and can't get back out, other than that i say give him a bit of money and see if he can do something. unless yeung has got someone much much better lined up. tbf i'm more worried about gold/sullivan/yeung fecking up the whole club

my main problem with Bruce is mainly his tactics, unwillingness to change and his transfer policy.
I'm not in the BRUCE OUT camp, but don't look at him as some sort of saviour.
seems like bookies are rating Aston villa as the slight favourites, which sounds about right?
The fact that we're at St Andrews is probably the only thing stopping them being heavy favourites |

Id say us as slight favourites bookie-wise is about right, doesnt mean a thing though.
Im obviously no great expert on how you play, but one thing I will say about Bruce is that he is an awful judge of a striker - you've signed some real shitters whilst he's been there and he let Johnson leave.
Playing 4-5-1 at home to Wigan not a good idea though. Surely he wouldnt dare play a defensive set up at home against us?
One thing that does concern me about your team is Kapo - any time I've seen him he's done well playing as a kind of left sided player, which would be to your advantage due to our right hand side being ****.
I think he's played just sitting off a main striker as well, which would also cause us a problem as neither Laursen or Knight are mobile enough to keep coming out to him and it'd be to our detriment if Barry or Reo-Coker dropped in to mark him. Things like that are why Davies should be playing over Knight and also why Id not be that suprised if we played 4-5-1 with Carew up top and Gabby and Young wide.

Carew's going to be fit apparently, though Young is only 60/40 |
