nah we beat Aston Villa 1:0 in that game I think? Mellbergs throw in, Enkelman completely misses the ball, quite enjoyed it. |

Pff, Midlands derby on the 12th November much much better tbh.
| Do you class it as a derby game? I never really have since we have Villa, Wolves and Blues that are all very close to us. But Coventry don't really have anyone that close, in comparison. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Well, it's either them or Nuneaton. Thankfully we aren't that rubbish (yet).

Comfortable 2-0 victory for Villa. Gold to spout some ridiculous stuff about the General. Dion Dublin to headbutt Robbie Savage and Ridgewell to score an own goal.

We won 3-0 iirc, Horsfield got one and I think Morrison got the other

i'm fairly worried about this to be honest, not because villa are any good, but they have some fairly good individuals, and a derby might be a spur for them to put in a good performance, hopefully the younger players will be bullied/intimidated by the crowd.
and i'm willing to bet ridgewell is going to make a major fck up at some point because of his ridiculous over eagerness.
and then the smarmy villa fans won't let it drop for years

Ridgewell a complete nailed on certainty to score in this game - lump your life savings on it.
Not sure what to make of the game really, Birmingham are an average side and we're an slightly better average side with a couple of good players. We've both been pretty inconsistent yet Villa are in a decent position going in to the game.
Im pretty sure the two wins we got last time around has gotten rid of the fear that seemed to seep through our squad when the games came around previously, though a fair chunk of the players arent with us anymore anyway.
We've got the better players, and more players with the experience in the derby game (was suprised at how much Birmingham's squad has changed actually) though that'll count for nothing once the game starts Im sure.
David Gold will be abused horribly by us because he'd a peddling little *******, and The General will be saluted by our away support because we love him. I shall naturally be abusing any Birmingham player who comes anywhere near where Im sitting, though most of my real hated ones (Savage, Campbell, Morrison and Clemence to name but 4) have left now. Damien Johnson will get the brunt of my abuse should he play.
If Birmingham come at us, which they will, we could quite easily rip them up on the break as their defence is pretty slow, certainly in comparison to Young and Gabby. Could quite easily be any of the 3 results, though I've a nagging feeling we'll lose 1-0 or 2-1.
Mon Villa.

Carson
Mellberg
Bouma
Laursen
Davies
Maloney
Young
Reo-Coker
Barry
Gabby
Carew/Moore
Please.
Though Knight's a certainty to start over Davies - he must have some pretty incriminating pictures of O'Neill to hand, Christ knows how he's still in the team.
