Paris is an extremely expensive place to go, especially if you're intending on drinking a lot. Unless you like wine :thup:

Berlin is quite cool, you could do worse than there. Other cities in Europe I like are Barcelona and Sarajevo (if you fancy something different, it really is great there, safe as well).

If you're going on your own then book yourself into a fun sounding hostel, will be lots of other like-minded young folk.

Either going it alone or with 2 or 3 mates? Anyone ever been to HTID in the sun? My dads been to Barcelona to see them play, so cant ask him about the night life ir that. Booking myself into a fun sounding hotel with like minded people is what i plan on doin which is why im considering Ibiza or Tenerife?

somewhere like ibiza or tenerife with a few mates would be fun if you like that sort of thing (I don't) but I'd imagine it'd be a bit crap if you're on your own.

somewhere like barcelona in a fun hostel on your own, on the other hand, would be awesome. and the nightlife in barcelona is excellent by the way, was out until 6am all three nights I was there in september. I was there with a friend but there were one or two people in the hostel who were just out there on their own, but they had a great time.

wrong time of year for good weather but here's list of European cities to consider-

Barcelona- safest bet for an awesome time, plus if as it sounds you've not been away before on trip like this it'd be good starter city.

Berlin is good, not as lively as i expected.

Prague- was awesome- maybe not so good now due to over tourism.

Budapest- brilliant- a must visit city. Great people.

Riga- awesome place just a bit quiet, it's growing though and really cheap.

Paris is a big no for a party weekend, you may aswell do London instead.

I'd rule out anywhere in Italy as they are all bit pretentious.

Malta is v good for the underage drinking.

Anywhere you go will be ok for getting in at 17, European culture is v different to UK on age thing.
