Many still have some levels of ethics, Big Geordie's point was merely that this doesn't generally factor in for compaines such as banks, oil complanies etc, not sure why it required your comment.

Anyone advocating "money above all" (or something to that effect) and then ending it with a reference to christianity is usually an american in my experience. |

Any entrepreneur in the world started his company to make money, not to make the world a better place or to give jobs to his employees.
If admitting it makes the entrepreneur american then no wonder this country is the richest/most powerfull in the world, god must be helping it too |

As if being an entrepreneur automatically has to mean you're a ruthless barsteward.
Way too black and white. It is possible to do business without profiting from crime.
Someone needs to keep an eye on 'overzealous' entepreneurs of course. Hence the natural need for strong governments and government powers in a capitalist society.

No, hence the need for educated and informed people who can make the decision themselves to not buy any product from the said 'overzealous' entrepreneurs... and if people still buys these products it means they don't care as much as they pretend about morals.

| Where did I say that btw?
What I said is that a business first and most important goal is to make money, not to be nice/do the right thing. It doesn't mean that you can't do both but the first goal is to make a profit.
