Got it finally. Although i had hidden files/folders on view i hadn't unchecked the "Hide protected system files (recommened)" option. Once i did that it was a doddle.

Adblock was no use, it blocked the ads but the site still took forever.
Host file fix has worked a treat though. Now running beautifully. Thanks. :thup:

hmm, i have just noticed that being scottish is classed as a disability these days. Better get on the phone to the social, free money \o/

PAINFULLY slow for me. The banner at the top loads and then I spend about 5 minutes waiting for everything else.
I'll do the same getting onto page 1 and look at some of the tips there.
