The most laughable parking ticket EVER, ffs.

My grandad (the very same one who got the new car that I blamed with ageism) got a £60 parking fine for...
Having his disabled parking badge the wrong way round.
I mean,

ffs. Pathetic.

I reckon it's because if it was in his old car (a small red Ford) they would have known it was "just Tommy" and left it, as my grandad has been parking on Cullercoats seafront for near to 20 years. We reckon it's just due to the fact it was a new car.
He's had the badge on the side with his face and signature on for as long as I can remember, he gets a new car, then some idiot slaps a fine for having it the wrong way round (supposed to have the disabled symbol on apparently).
If it's a violation, then fine (we checked my grandads little book, couldn't find anything). At the very most the warden should have left a note asking him to turn it round or face a fine next time. I mean, its very petty, especially for someone who has paralysis on his left side and can't write a letter of complaint (I had to do one for him.)
What do you think of this then? Heavy handed, or sticking to his job?

a guy being a dickhead. he didn't do it on purpose and wasn't gaining any advantage from it so what's the point in the punishment.

i would say only twisted bastards with no moral compass would do this sort thing, but we're talking about traffic wardens, and thats kind of the a job requirement.

Phone them or write to them and explain what the fine is for and i would imagine they will write it off without him having to pay anything.

in my experience parking wardens are pretty decent people. I've never had a problem with them myself and for over year I was working as a delivery guy.
