There was a traffic warden afew years ago who was going to do the very same thing where the disabled badge slipped a little and would require a bit of leaning over to see the time.

You could see the time if you took the trouble to try.


The warden was about to write a ticket until I shamed him on the street in front of everyone.

I told him he was going to give a fine to a disabled person despite him being able to see the ticket. I said that it could be a lot of money for someone who is disabled.

He got out of there sharpish. He actually looked embarrassed, like he had a conscience.

Traffic Wardens can be bastards. My dad got done once, near us the corner of the road is double yewllow lines and about three car lengths up the road the double yellow lines started again. My dad parked in between the two sets of lines, no part of the car was tocuhing or overhanging the yellows and he got done. He appealed and the council maintained that the intention was to fill the gap in with yellow lines but they hadnt been bothered to do it for three weeks. But becuas ethey were supposed to be filled in then it menat dad had parked illegally. Eventually he got the money back but it took a good three months.

Having said that i do think the wardens get too much stick. Espicially when people park on double yellows and say i was only popping in the shop for 15minutes. If you break the law then you get the penalty. Why dont more people except this. Expecting the wardent o turn a blind is ridiculous espicially if they ar eon performance related pay and have targets to meet.
