There is no 26 seed as the player in that spot has withdrawn mid tournament. Tony Drago is seeded a respectable 27, and is surprisingly the only snooker player involved in this years tournament, with Steve Davis not taking part this year.
That link will take you to the TV Schedule for both ESPN and SkySports.
How It All Works
In the opening round there are 128 players competing in 16 groups of eight, double elimination. Each group will be played out in one day over two tables. Four players from each group advance into the Last 64. Single elimination from Last 64 onwards.
Group matches (days one to four) are race to nine
Last 64 (day five) and Last 32 (day six) are race to ten
Last 16 (day seven), Quarter-finals (day eight) and Semi-finals (day eight) - race to 11
The final (day nine) is race to 17
Daryl Peach is the highest seeded Englishman in the draw at 17 and is one of 6 English players in the draw.
Alex Pagulayan, who won back in 2004, is always an exciting player to watch.
And a final mention of course, has to go to Earl Strickland. One of the biggest jackasses in sport, any sport, infact he may be the biggest jackass in the world. However, he is sure to be involved in some of the most interesting moments of this years championship, whether it be arguing with officials, sweraing at the fans mid match or generally being a d**k.
Sure to be some of OTF interested in this, I watch what I can of it every year.
