If i was 47 and being refused wine that i had gone out to buy i wouldnt be too happy. I just dont understand why they are making a fuss over people clearly old enough buying products you have to be 18 to buy.
| because it's discrimination to only ask people who look a certain age. It's happened in the US for years, don't see the problem with us doing it over here too. They're most likely having to always ask people who look under the age of 21 to prove they're over 18, but have to also ask the occasional people who are clearly over aged too.

Yes, Discrimination, with regards to a persons age, or ageism.
I wouldn't expect you to be able to comprehend the concept tbh, you still struggle with Racism and you've had god knows how many years to get to grips with it.

| It's stupidity and you know it, why waste your time and someone else's time asking someone who clearly looks older than 18 or 21 (in this case they're 47) for ID.

There is a wonderful hypocrisy about saying 'you can't discriminate based on age' with regards to whom you ask yet not questioning the actual basic law which is, justifiably I suppose, ageist.
This really isn't about -isms and theories and the like. it's common sense.
