Quite a lot, I had one of those before a proper interview with Reuters.

I didn't get the proper interview with Reuters.

A lot, you won't even get a proper interview with most places if you don't do well in the tests.

Did you get your score?

Those tests are a big annoying. When I did my GRE's I wanted to take my time and not make silly mistakes. Then realised I had 5 questions left to answer in the last minute. Quickly went through them and got a perfect score so must've got them right!

Think sometimes when you think you haven't done so well, and you're rushed, you actually do your best. Always hear about people who go to these interviews and thought they did badly, but get the job in the end.

Anyway just keep telling yourself you don't want it and you didn't get it!

What you've done aren't psychometric tests - psychometric ones are purely to see what type of "personality" you have. What you've done are "ability" tests.

Eithe way, firms that do these sort of tests use them as an extra filtering device - i.e. you only get through to the next stage if you perform to a sufficient level on these tests.

Not sure if you were expected to finish the tests in the time given or not, so unfortunately I can't give you a definite answer either way.

Give uni an email (the Centre for Career Development), they've allsorts of advice for passing psychometric tests.

Working at Deloitte huh, should've done a Business degree

But yeah, the CCD at uni will help you.

Yeh pretty sure you have to meet a certain score to be considered to be given an interview.

They can be pretty tough in terms of stupid questions which take a while to figure out but not hugely academically testing.

There are quite a few test ones out there so google them and do some practice I reckon.

Think that's how I felt. A few seconds of panic, then force myself to concentrate.
