I don’t mind crappy team mates on Team Slayer, because I only really care about how well I do. I’d rather lose and get loads of kills than win and only get a handful. We played one game last night where Plumble, Blackened and either Vamp or Redblood was on the other side and we lost, but I finished top scorer in my team so was happy enough.

It can get annoying on team games like CTF though. The best strategy is usually for two to travel in the jeep with one taking the flag and the other acting as a getaway driver but it’s annoying when everyone just rushes off on a killing rampage.

Just reminded me of a brilliant bomb game I had yesterday. I planted the bomb in the enemy base but was shot as I did so. I assumed they were gonna defuse it, but no, they pretty much just stood there while it counted down from 10 and exploded

fwiw so far I prefer Gears to Halo.

They could both learn (steal) from each other though to make some awesome games.

I never connected with Gears at all, but then again I didn't manage a single kill online so it's perhaps no surprise

Graphics of Gears + weapons of Gears + matchmaking/party system of Halo + online stat-tracking of Bungie.net + customisation of Forge, that would be pretty sweet.

All gears really needs to do is up the amount of players and have more variations in multiplayer modes.

I still want to try an otf game with increased speed up to 150% just to see how it feels on halo. plus try other modes like rocket race

Halo could do with a bit more gore. Not the same sniping someone when their head doesn't pop.

If you unlock the Grunt Birthday Party skull, you get a blast of confetti and some children cheering whenever you make a headshot.

They have everything in place from Gears to make the sequel one of the best games around. if they have the inclination too.

Give me Team Fortress 2 in a few weeks anyway. :cool:

I may now be getting that on the pc as it looks like will be bringing forward my purchase of a new one after my hard drive failed.
