The thing is, it'd not make a difference if the rules were changed as Romanov would just free transfer the players he wants at Hearts to us. Bednar was only on loan the first year but has since been transferred to us for free despite Kaunas paying about £500k for him iirc

Well it looks like Gordon is going then. Great keeper but if we get £9m for him as being quoted Vlad has done a brilliant bit of business for us. Under Robinson a few years ago we would have got about £1m
5 Lithuanians have also been sent back to Kaunas for disciplinary reasons (Velicka, Kurskis, Kanchelskis, Pilibautis and Ivaskevicius). To me this seems positive as it shows the Liths are no longer ruling the dressing room like last year and Korobochka might be getting a free reign to make a go of the managers job.

£9m is a decent fee for you guys. Pretty sure that will become the record transfer fee received for a club in Scotland as well, beating either van Bronckhorst to Arsenal or Petrov to Villa, whichever was highest.

Good luck to Gordon. Would prefer him to go to Sunderland rather than villa for whatever reason.

Signed up to this Setanta By Broadband thingy a couple of days ago - watching tonight's game as a dry run in prep for eL and Conference action.

Man City have bid 10.75m for Gordon, according to Chick Young.

Also, £33 for a Hibs ticket! Scandalous.
