Thankful for his handling of the economy, but resentful over his handling of the environment. He has lost a lot of trust and political credibility.

Essentially; thanks, but it's time to leave.

I'd say we're not going too badly as a nation, but mixed in with a few lies and un-necessary butt kissing of one Mr President.

In saying that though, I didn't realise the extent that my former employer not only stuck rigidly to the AWA, but worded a few things quite cleverly in there too...

Like, if I went to a trade night for let's say sony, and as part of a raffle or competition at said trade night, I won an MP3 player, I wasn't allowed to keep this item without the store owners, very rare approval...

Being surrounded by uni politics types, whose only conversational topic seems to be how bad John Howard is, I am so well and truly over this election that I'm hoping on election day the world is destroyed and myself and everyone else are wiped out.

There's nothing more obnoxious than a 19 year old arguing with a 20 year old over IR legislation while listening to Midnight Oil in the Adelaide unibar.

Throw them all on the fire.

Howard's first official election policy: tax cuts.

Transcript

Reports; ABC, The Australian

Basically, the idea is for tax rates to be reduced to 15, 30, 35 and 40% by 2012-13 with an effective no tax income of $20,000 (from 15, 30, 40 and 45%, effective no tax income of $11,000).

I... don't think I can muster the necessary moral outrage at this time of night. I'll chip in somewhere closer to the actual poll. 6 weeks out is too far.

...though if you're Howard, you seem to think the debate should take place now, before anyone's had a chance to look through any policies. Proposing one debate 5 weeks out is just a shambles. I'd say he's running scared, but with this little bugger I always think he's got a plan. And knowing him it'll work, too.

I do love how he's already attacked Rudd for "not taking responsibility for what his shadow-ministers do". Please, when was the last time you heard Howard accept responsibility for anything other than the faux-noble "I'm responsible for sending men to war" crap when someone dies? His legacy will be that ministers and prime-ministers can get away with saying "yes I received the email, but I didn't read it, so I didn't know". Cnut.

Oops, guess I could raise some outrage.

I see the Liberal smear campaign has left you refreshingly unbiased. </BLOCKQUOTE>

k.

Nice to know the Labor union propaganda has left you brilliantly unbiased.
