To cut a boring story a little shorter, I lost my phone on Tuesday evening on the way home from work. I couldnt drive as my leg is in agony so had to take the bus, so Im pretty sure thats where I lost it.

Anyway, I didnt get the chance to get a new one until today and wondered if it was possible to keep the same number as I had on the phone I've just lost - I cant be arsed with letting people know I've got a new number. If so, how much does it cost?

Incase anyone's arsed I got a Sony Ericsson K800i. Its lovely.

phone your network provider and get your pac code (yes it's one of those annoying things like pin number) transferred to the new phone

pac is for moving network. just ask them to put it on a new sim. Innit

I think you still need the code to transfer the old number, only difference afaik is you don't need to wait 30 days if you're not changing network

Doesn't cost anything. If it's pay as you go they may even give you money to do it.
