I know very little about NASCAR compared to F1 but I find it hard to believe that there is more skill involved in the former?

Could be all sorts of reasons for the switch to NASCAR anyway. Maybe F1's travel schedule was too much for them? Maybe they thought they'd make more money? Maybe they enjoy the racing style more? Maybe they just want to try something different?

I'm sure there's no single reason, and in terms of which is better.. well, each to their own, as always. I prefer F1 ofc.

In both cases Jehrome mentioned its because they couldn't get a drive in F1 due to being sh*te.

American racing has gone even more downhill than F1 in recent years.

Indycar used to be brilliant, but now the IRL is largely just boring...why the insistence on nothing but oval racing is beyond me. True it can produce excellent racing but I need more than that from a track.

Nascar is jsut the pinnacle of dullness in motor racing for me. Even the presence of two of the ebst F1 drivers and personalities of the last decade wont change that.
