Silly really, I was driving home from my mates place after playing poker (and losing), its midnight Australian time. About 5 mins from my place, a Holden (Vauxhall, note that most Australian police cars are Holdens) comes along side, for some reason, most likely that I want to go home quickly, I speed past it. 5 seconds later the blue and red lights flash, i brake pretty suddenly out of shock, and I get done for speeding 80km/h in a 60km/h zone (sorry I'm not good with Imperial). So ridiculous the way these events happened, I decide to stay 5 extra minutes at my mates place even though I'm tired and want to go home, then I decide to speed past this car (whilst Radiohead is playing)

Anyway I'm curious to hear OTF's police encounter stories. And yes I know what I did was wrong and silly, kicking myself having to pay a decent fine and almost losing my provisional license (I'm still only 20)

I got caught speeding about 10 years ago - doing 98.75mph in my 1.1 Fiesta Was at 1am on an empty motorway. Got a £120 fine & 6 points although obviously the points have now expired.

Was breathalysed a couple of weeks back because someone crashed into my car.

Copper seemed a decent enough bloke and handed me the tube as a "souvenir" which basically meant "have your spit drenched tube and dispose of it please?".
