2 Stella's would usually be over the limit though? I assume you mean pints.

It could be like the American system with Permit/License?

I almost got run over yesterday. Walking down a busy road, needed to cross over so I stood at the crossing, pressed the button and waited for the nice green man.
Lights changed to amber, I was looking left as there was a few cars slowing down and no cars to be seen on the road to my right, the crossing starts bleeping as I put my right foot out into the road and car comes through the lights and starts beeping. I quickly jumped back onto the pavement in disbelief, then crossed.
Came out of nowhere like a ghost car. I really wished I had stood there shaking my fist in the air at the car but I had already **** myself.

nearly did get knocked off my bike today by a British Red Cross van no less, it came in too tight to the curb around the corner and nearly squashed me.

nothing happened to me. But a couple of years ago my mate got done on our cricket tour. He was just outside Hartlepool when he saw a subaru Impreza with alloys, lights in the radiator grill spoiler etc.
The impreza was going along at a comftable speed and my mate thought it would be clever to overtake it and make the what he thought were boy racers look like idiots by being overtaken by a peugot 206.
Turns out the lights in the radiator wasnt a chav accessory but Police lights. He was clocked going at 90+ mph and was 1.3 mph away from having his licence automatically taken away from him. (apparently they are strict up there). Considering he needs the car for work he would have lost his job if that had been the case. Luckily for him he got 6points and a stern telling off.

Yep 2 pints of Stella, think it was about 45 minutes after my last one though.
I think what they say puts you over the limit can be pretty hazy though. Iv heard stories of friends getting pulled when they have drunk more than that and still 'getting away with it'.

I was pulled over once and breathalysed.
Nothing special.
The only problem was, I wasn't driving and, not that it made a difference, I wasn't even sat at the front!!
The weirdest experience I've had with the police and I have had a few.

was cycling home one night after i finished work, but my front light battery was flat.
Was cycling along and heard "Oi stop, come here!!!" or something like that. It sounded like a policeman.
I just kept on going and went home. got away with that one.
Although i remember a friend getting done for cycling drunk, with no lights and on a pavement. That was fun
