utterly bemused how ive never been done, definitely a matter of time. would assume 75% of my driving is done over the limit with the other 25% spent getting up to speed or stopped.

haha, i basically do exactly that every w/e
if i ever see a police car whilst doing this (like last sat at 4.30am) i speed up and hope they have better things to do as i have heard that you can lose your licence here thru drink-cycling. so far so good.

i did get stopped for jaywalking once and had to wrangle my way out of a 50Eur fine. did not even know it was against the law here.

only other 'experience' with the police was when the drug squad raided the flat above mine at 7am with apparently 3-4 vehicles and a battering ram. i just thought it was people loudly moving house and went back to sleep, only found out about it a couple of days later.

My mate was going on about how his family were in a car accident, and they're all in hospital because of the seatbelts. Started ranting about them, until we pointed out it would've been their skulls broken instead of their collarbones if they weren't wearing them

A chav-girl i used to work with never wore seatbelts. Her reason was "they were unconfortable and messed up her clothes". Oddly enough she'd never been involved in a car accident either. She also had it in her head that seatbelts "made your injuries worse when in an accident". She wasnt very bright.
