Backpacking through Europe in February
Simple enough question, I'm considering strongly going to Europe for about a month from early Feb until early March , when my uni semester restarts.
Do you think its a good idea to go traveling through Europe in February? Even though its fairly cold, not so many tourists (plus point) etc. etc.
If anyone has any experiences they're willing to share then please do so.

Cold's no problem, just wrap up well.
Rain will probably **** you right off though.

I'll get over the rain, although if I do end up going, it'll be after the Australian summer.
How's the Costa del Sol like in February Bert?

Mmm, if you're lucky it'll be like it is today - about 20 degrees, bright sunshine, cooling breeze. If you're unlucky it'll be a monsoon every day. We usually get a week or two of torrential rain around november or febuary or both.
Weather-wise across Europe I don't think you could pick a more unpleasant month.
What are you intending to see?

Barcelona is a must, Valencia I hear is worth going to, then of course I've been told to go to places like Ibiza, Majorca etc. "Go party bro" and all that rubbish.
This is mostly just planning in my head though, nothing definite, may not go at all if circumstances aren't right.

Ibiza and Mallorca out of season, you'll be partying with a few grannies over a nice cup of tea.

Well screw Majorca and Ibiza then.
Probably just be Barcelona , Madrid and Cordoba on the Spanish leg then.
