I'll repeat it anyway:
But I did exclude the bugs from that statement. And everything else IS your fault. You know, with this bug-crazy thing going on, a lot of people are taking advantage of that and try to justify their own shortcomings by blaming the bugs. I don't mean any of you in particular but still... And I've seen a lot of people here saying until recently they didn't even know patches existed and somehow managed to play the game and enjoy it. As I said, the closing down and a few other major bug have been acknowledged and hopefully fixed. As for everything else, it's more than likely that it's more your fault than a bug.
Using your logic, you could say the entire game is one huge bug because it relies so much on random factors. But using that logic, you could say football and the whole world is a bug because it, too, relies on random factors. FM is like that, there's no point in saying it's unrealistic when realism is a very relative and subjective thing.
I mean, you could very well have used an awesome though-out tactic but just got unlucky. It's a random-number game, after all. Nothing more than a highly sophisticated random-number generator with means of somehow possibly altering the still random outcome.
I just don't want to get into an over-reliance on a patch. Because there will be more. Should I now get depressed because new bugs will eventually be discovered an the 8.0.5 patch released, then 8.0.7? Should I moan that until then, until next year, until 10 years later, the game is unplayable and ****?

Screw this inane banter. I'm gonna go have my Hayes & Yeading ass kicked my Farsley (whoever they are) in the FA Cup.
Oh, and RTHerringbone: What exactly is a 'Munter'?
Sounds great, whatever it is... |

| For some its just down to if they really can tell if they made a bad tatic/decision or if it indeed is a bug. I respect pepole who fear a bug and post it in bugs forum for pepole to look into. I cant respect pepole who come in here "claiming" they found a bug and flaming SI for it.

You're trying to say that, because it's a computer programme, it has to comply with some standards when football itself - the subject of the game - doesn't comply with anything. We never ever know the result of any match. I'm sure all of us have seen more than our share of football. Can you not agree that lots of it is random and "unrealistic"? Every week something unrealistic happens: penalties, disallowed goals, missed sitters, injuries, sacks etc. etc. But we can't say it's unrealistic because it's the real world. Whereas when something like that happens in FM it's deemed unrealistic.

I appreciate that bugs are bugs and luck is luck. But I'm not talking about an isolated incident. I'm talking about consistently outplaying my opposition, getting 15-odd chances on goal per game and not bagging a single one for 4-5 games in a row. I personally cannot bring myself to play this game until it is fixed. I am not saying that you can't. I want to be able to have the challenge of outplaying my opposition, not outplaying the bugs.

Fair enough, I can't argue with that but just out of curiosity try changing some team instructions or something. Chances are, you're gonna start scoring
P.S. I like the BOLD trend I started here |

Constant games of 20 chances or so and no goals are annoying because of the following.
My tactic is there to get the team playing in a system that creates chances and is q solid, the minute I have created a chance, and this is IRL also, the responsibility is no longer in my hands as the manager, it is all about the ability of my player. Now if I have a world class striker he should be able to take his chances, it is nothing to do with my tactics if my class strikers constantly miss the chances that my tactic allows them to create.
It was not Wengers fault that Arsenal players screw up in finishing so often (or did so last season) it was the players faults, his tactic was in place to create chances and be solid at the back and for the most part it did that.
Before someone says ah, look Arsenal had that problem it is realistic, no wrong it is not, that was a problem Arsenal had, I cannot remember a team missing so many chances last year and failing to win in games in a long time.

Tried everything ( ) mate, just gonna wait til tuesday/wednesday til the patch arrives. I can remember the same thing happening on CM4 though, and I do believe that game directly contributed to me dropping out of uni. Only worry is - I'm in my third year now and have a HUGE dissertation to write. This can't end well.

P.S. I like the BOLD trend I started here | But why? If a tactic is creating chances and chances that I can see are clear, why on earth should altering instructions suddenly start seeing my players turn into goal-scoring machines? It does not make sense tbh.
