Personally i blame the influence of Queiroz, seems we only buy Portuguese based players these days.

Surely you have to think long term though? I know Carrick is only in his mid 20's but so is Hargreaves. How are you meant to give more time to youngsters if you never sell one of your best players? When i said i had the likes of Banega and Veloso they are the next "batch" to come through. after that i have good young ENGLISH players such as Lansbury, Bostock and Hewson-plus other British youngsters. Yes, United have got a lot of foreigners but there is always going to be an British core to the team.

sell sell sell, you dont need him especially with owen and anderson not to mention your youth products, 30 mil would be a great earner in anyones season! i say sell!!

Exactly, Carrick is good but isn't amazing. If you give more opportunities to the youngsters they should become AT LEAST as good if not better than Carrick and then you'll have £30m in your pocket. Surely only one option?

sell because you can actually get someone better (Miguel Veloso, Jean Makoun) with roughly 20 and keep the 10M in your pocket

i think he means doin it the toher way by buying non portugese players rather than selling his portugest players
