Rab1879 quit bitching, Scotland didn't deserve to win the match, its unfortunate but thats just the way it is. You are beginning to sound like an English media pundit. Blind, deaf & dumb to your teams failings.
...and DaGringoKilla. You wouldn't call a team like Scotland pushing the world champions and beaten finalists all the way to the wire a good run??? Thats just stupid.

I don’t know for FM2008 but in FM2007, I often complained.
Most of the time I get a warning or my club is paying a fee.
Sometimes, I’m banned for a match and then I can’t coach the team for the duration of the match.
But in rare occasions I’m right and they say that the FA is very silent about the issue.
I don’t know if it is influencing the referee the next time, but I’m sure it is influencing the motivation of my players.

name the last team to jump so many places in 2 years scotland were 88th 2 years ago and now 13th 2nd seeded for world cup scotland played better in the 2nd half THERE WER NOT ALOT EXPECTATIONS AT THE START UNLIKE ENGLAND WERE DEEMED TO WIN THE EASY GROUP

| italy score - 1-0. italy have goal disallowed wrongly for offside - 2-0. scotland get penalty for obvious handball (not given in the game) - 2-1. scotland score but should have been ruled out for offside. still 2-1. hutton gets free kick for a foul and italy dont score. now, what was the score?
2-1 to italy. there were some bad decisions but they were evened out and the game would have finished the same anyway even if the ref had been decent.

Thats what I was trying to get at, it shouldnt be in the game coz its not realistic (unless u can tell ur assman to change tactics)
