I was Bury in League 1 (me 4th season) and i got fed up of the board, selling my best players over my head, giving me a shoestring budget. So after a couple of defeats i got fed up and resigned.
So i declared intrest in a job in the same league and got laughed off, fair enough i though, i hadn't proved myself in this league.
But then i declared interest in a job in league 2, and got laughed off... i was annoyed now, i had proven myself in league 2.
Anyway now in march im with exeter in BSP having to work my way up, its fun but i get the feeling i really shouldn't have left, if just because i didnt really want to start from the bottom again.
And i still reckon i should have been considered for jobs in league 2.
Peter Taylor was in the running for the England job once, was considered for the Charlton job when they were in the premiership and just recently managed Crystal Palace in the championship.

taylor is only in non leaugue because of an ongoing dispute with a former chairmen hmm? As there is a clause that if he takes control of a LEAGUE club he has to waiver compensation, so he thought what the hell
I thought Taylor took the Stevenage job because due to a stipulation in his last contract, he wasn't 'allowed' to manage in the football league for the rest of the season or something similar. I haerd this in a couple of places but not sure how much truth there is in it.
I'd have thought a manager of his talent would be able to get a job higher up the ladder.

He is now with Stevenage in non-league...
A good example. I quite rate Taylor too. </BLOCKQUOTE>
 He's a proven failure at Championship level and above. He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near that level again.

meh
If the board were being absolute willys then you should of left and the League 2 team, where they title winners or not? as for Exeter, I'm afraid it's just the luck of the draw, mate.

You might be right, but I think you're wrong. And I think he will manage in the Championship again one day.
