Well, I can't say whether or not he will ever change his tune, but he hasn't had anything to say since my posting. The thread seems to have reached a dead stop anyway, which is rather fitting, considering that SI, Sega, and the loyal FM gamers are all at a standoff. As you've pointed out Jimbo, nothing seems to change from either side. It's all rather sad, but, like you, I'll sit and wait for the official patch while hoping that it will make this game acceptable for me. If it doesn't, then I won't be surprised.

Greg, a superb post, you have summed up my feelings precisely, but do not expect an apology from SI or SEGA for releasing an incomplete game for us to purchase.

No matter what happens from here, i think that SI has damaged its reputation, and that of FM.

Again Greg, great post

Do SI have nothing to say, to one of the best posts i have seen on here? FM08 has been the worst by far - we on here are the fortunate ones who know how to get a patch etc, what about all them kids who are get this for xmas, open it to play, and even their 10 year old minds will relaise how poor this game is and ask for a bike next xmas. Sort yourselves out. If i produced something this BAD in my job, i would be sacked!

Woo man - have a read of Miles' comments in the patch thread stickied at the top of the forum for SI's view.

Cheers

I agree with everything you have said.

I promised myself that I would stop posting in here yesterday, but I get soooooooo angry when I see people connested with the game stating the game is "playable".

It frustrates me immensely that the game is classed as "playable" right up to the point at which it becomes "unplayable". I find the whole thing proposturous.

Either the game is "playable" or not "playable". I'm not saying that it is "unplayable" for all, as you are just one exemple of many, who have no long term significant issues with the game at all.
Ive been playing it for a week.

Its therefore playable for me at the moment, no matter how angry that makes you.

I understand why some people wont start a long term game because of the issues and if I had similar issues would be waiting a week or so for the patch. I wouldnt however be getting angry.... </BLOCKQUOTE>

Agree,I was very critical of FM07, in partiocular the match engine- yet I too am playing a long term game purely imo the match engine is a great improvement.

Cant wait to see what the full patch brings.
