Hi as manager of Braintree FC in Conf. south i have serious money problems. I am 100,000 in the red and losing 20,000 a month. I havent gone over my wage budget and havent spent a single penny on players as i have a 0 budget. The board are angry i havent addressed this problem so i sold my best player for 20,000 9 months after buying him for nowt. Although this obviously is a p**s in the ocean as im now 80,000 in the red and losing 20.000 a month. Is there any way of getting to grips with this? I think the best way is getting promotion but selling my best players wont achieve that. Any ideas anyone? Cheers Danny

try to get some friendlies with bigger teams...(to avoid injuries of ur main players...let the subs/youths play!)

The friendly idea mentioned above is always a good pre-season money spinner.

It might also be worth getting rid of any players in the under 18 and reserve squads to really save on wages, and any staff that aren't essential. Apart from that there's not really much you can do except try and get promoted and/or get a few lucky cup wins.

the age old way of smaller clubs surviving...developing youth players and selling them on

Save on wages by getting season long loans paying small % of wages

Sell players and replace with free transfers

friendly tournaments. Host friendlies at home

Look for a parent club to get a) free loans b) a guaranteed friendly c) an annual fee from the parent club
